Thank you for all the great support that made this become a success.
The phrase “Burning The Ships” dates from 1519, when a Spanish expedition led by Hernán Cortés landed in Mexico. Cortés knew his crew was already exhausted after the long sea journey, but he had to motivate them to succeed in the new land. So he ordered the scuttling of the ships they arrived in. The ships burned. No turning back now!
Burn The Ships could mean several things to several different people…..for us, its the aspirations of burning it all down and starting over….a metaphor for a fresh clean slate with no turning back to your haunted past!

My first wet shaving journey with Hoffman’s. The Burn the Ships offering has garnered quite the praise for its OS rendition. I’m of a certain vintage where the Shulton juice was readily available (esp at XMAS in those coveted gift sets) and I have to say HOFFMAN’s nailed that rounded creaminess, deep spiciness & beautiful dry down that the modern P&G offering sorely lacks. The real deal OS DNA performs its best 1/2 a day into it if you ask me. And if y want longevity, you can count on this EDP. 9+ hours on a balmy day & I’m still whistling the old spice riff. Very nice job Mr Cippola and thank you for keeping the classic recipe alive with Burn the Ships !
